Prior to joining LPK Architects, P.A. as the Principal Architect of the Mississippi Gulf Coast office, I had the distinct privilege of working with Kempton Batia on a major renovation at the Dr. Douglas Lanier estate in Gulfport, MS, the construction of a new Home Therapies Clinic for Fresenius Medical Care in Gulfport, MS and the pre-construction of a New Medical Clinic for Doctors Properties, LLC in Ocean Springs, MS. These projects ranged in value from $500,000 – $1,325,000.
On all of these projects, Kempton served as Project Manager, a consummate professional who handles the day-to-day obligations of construction project management such as estimating, project budgeting, construction scheduling, and coordination all while building a successful construction company. During that time, Josh Swinford joined Blackline Corp and proved to be one of the best superintendents I’ve ever worked with. He should be a valued asset for Blackline Corp for many years to come. As the face of Blackline Corp, both men clearly understand what it means to deliver projects on-time, on budget, and with an attention to detail not commonly found in the construction industry.
My professional experience spans over fourteen years and ranges from small commercial to large public projects with construction values ranging from $500,000 – $23,000,000. Without question, Blackline Corp exceeded my expectations by maintaining a level of competency and a standard of care which rivals that of many of the much larger construction companies I’ve worked with in the past. Blackline Corp is clearly committed to establishing the financial and professional controls necessary to achieve excellence, regardless of the project scale.
